Here’s a painting I did last year for a project that unfortunately had
to be pulled. The painting is called Vade Mecum (“a handbook or guide
that is kept constantly at hand for consultation”) She
walked in. Steam filled the room making it difficult to make out the
various devices, gears and pipes that lined the walls. “Chirrup…purr…
chirrup…” Out of the corner of her eye a green flash, she looked again,
this time her eye caught the reflection from something iridescent. It
flew towards her - right into her outstretched hands. “Oh my!” she said.
 “Chirrup… purr…purr…chirrup?”. It’s one of a series I hope to
keep working on in the future :) Done in watercolour, gouache and pastel. Available for purchase https://www.etsy.com/au/listing/509438600/vade-mecum
